Join our Climate Change youth group who have been exploring local areas of conservation in their quest to understand how we can better protect our communities against the climate crisis.
Using youth social action, applied theatre and conservation activities our young people researched the science behind the unfolding emergency to tell the story of the impact of climate change in the New Forest, Weston Shore and in the city of Southampton.
The documentary follows the young people's discoveries, changes in action towards climate change and pro-environmental behaviours. An insightful and future outlook on how we can mitigate threats to our local communities, improving carbon reduction, air pollution, acidification, and protecting our natural environments though sustainable travel and greener living.
Join the group in local blue and green areas of conservation, prescribing nature to help the young people become more environmentally aware and improving their health and wellbeing.
The final performance 'Generation Anthropocence' combined the truth behind climate change through youth led voices, research and science with audiences in the city of Southampton and at the New Forest Show. The documentary captures audience responses and final group pledges to reduce our carbon footprint before 2050.
