Everyone learns a native language. Many people also learn a foreign language to some extent. Do we ever lose these languages?

Perhaps you're thinking about your high school French? How about the bits and pieces of German you learned from that exchange student, or the Spanish you crammed before that trip to Ibiza? People often have the impression that they retain very little from foreign language learning --- but evidence suggests you might remember more than you think!

Join researchers from Modern Languages and Linguistics to play a short game and find out how your linguistic memory stacks up.

Kids can join in too with hands-on activities and discussion to reflect on the language and dialects they hear at home, in the classroom and in the media!
